The Sacred Echo

Sep 1, 2010 | Uncategorized | 2 comments

I just finished the book The Sacred Echo by Margaret Feinberg. The book talks about not listening for God but to listen for His echo. Sometimes you hear his echo in a sermon or by reading the Bible or other areas.

She covers several echos she has heard over the years and talks about how you can listen for the echos that God wants you to hear. The one surprise for me was the one echo that really hit me hard. It was one that I really wasn’t expecting especially with everything going on in my life right now. I really have to sit down now and look over some areas in my life and think and study on the echo.

If I am hearing the echo correctly then some major adjustments need to made in my life including one of the major giants in my life. My weight. I can’t follow this echo and not lose some a lot of weight. So, please be in prayer that I can do this. No pray that God helps me to do this because I just don’t think I can do it alone. So feel free to hold me accountable on this.

I am using an application on my BB that will post any walking I do to facebook, so if you are a friend of mine on there and don’t see any post for a couple of days, ask me. If you see or hear of me doing something that hinders this, call me on it. You have my full permission.

Also now that I have finished that book, I need another one to start. I have a full library at home to choose from but I have it narrowed down to 2. I am leaning toward one of them but you tell me. Which book do you think I should read?

The first book is Plan B written by Pete Wilson.

The second book is Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick.

I’m not going to tell you which one I am leaning toward so let me know what you think.
